If so, this is the chance to apply now! 📥The Business Intelligence Engineer is involved in the preparation and development of key business intelligence to enable efficient, effective, and commercially focussed performance reporting within the business, in a timely and efficient manner.As a Business Intelligence Engineer your tasks will include the following:

Design and develop data ETL processes.

Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI to support business decision-making.

Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements, translating them into effective BI solutions.

Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and security throughout the BI development lifecycle.

Continuously monitor BI tools and solutions, focusing on performance improvements, automation, and scalability.

Analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.

Create visually compelling and actionable Power BI reports that transform complex data into insights.

Perform datamanipulation and transformation within the Power BI environment.

Identify data anomalies, trends, and patterns, providing actionable recommendations for improvements.

Assist in maintaining data quality and compliance with governance policies, ensuring consistency and reliability.

Stay updated on emerging BI tools and practices, applying relevant innovations to improve solutions.

What we look for:

Academic background in Computer Science, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience as a BI professional, with a focus on Power BI, SQL and Azure.

Experience in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI (Dax and M language).

Familiarity with power automate and power apps is preferred.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle challenges independently or collaboratively.

Effective communication and presentation abilities to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge in Python will be considered a plus.

All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check

Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)

HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)

Financial background check

Employment reference check.

If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality.
