MGA Accountant

• Receive on a bimonthly basis MGA files prepared by master with crew payroll and vessel’s various expenses.
• Reconcile the Summaries of the MGA to all the supporting documentation and signs the relevant general ledgers.
• Reconcile the Crew Check List, with the Seaman's Statement per seafarer to confirm that only approved seafarers are included on the MGA
• Produce Master Cash Statement
• Reconcile the Crew Check List, with the Seaman's Statement per seafarer to confirm that only approved seafarers are included on the MGA

• Reconcile the bonded analysis report and the telephone cards analysis report against the relevant supporting documentation.
• Reconcile the deck/engine extra works against the approved extra works by the responsible departments.

• Reconcile the cash analysis report against the cash payment receipts, crew cash advances and any other relevant supporting documentation of the cash received/ payments performed.

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Previous experience of 1-2 years in as similar position
• Excellent MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel
• Familiarity with ERPs. Knowledge of DANAOS SHIPPING ERP will be considered as an additional asset
• Strong analytical skills. Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
