Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) on Cloud

• Removing artificial barriers between functions, departments and teams, development and operations.
• Re-designing jobs and re-skilling practitioners and colleagues

• Designing and implementing practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, monitoring and logging, communication and collaboration.
• Continuous improvement and increased use of automation to drive velocity, quality, scalability, security

• Configures methods and tools within a known context.
• Develops, documents, and implements changes based on requests for change.
• Provides first line investigation and gathers information to enable incident resolution and allocate incidents.
• Allocates routine tasks or project work, in line with team objectives and individual capabilities. Monitors quality and performance against agreed criteria to make learning recommendations or to escalate concerns.
• Investigates problems in systems, processes and services.
• Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures

• Knowledge of programming languages, configuration management, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (IaaC)
• Hands-on experience in orchestration, virtualization, and Azure Cloud Services
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance testing tools
• Indicative technology stack: Python, Bash, Go, Grafana, Prometheus, Docker, Kubernetes

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in the IT industry or other business field (IT related)
• At least 1 year of professional experience in large scale organizations (> 200 end users)
• At least 3 years familiarity with DevOps and SRE ways of working in a known cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)

• Certifications on SRE from DevOps Institute or GSDC
• Certifications on Containerizations
• Certifications on Service Management
