- The Project Manager is responsible for the secure, on-budget, and in-the-defined timeframe implementation of all projects assigned to them
- Communicates with local suppliers and subcontractors to improve the received pricing
- Visits potential projects to make an evaluation for the cost analysis
- Creates and distributes RFPs to potential EPC subcontractors, establishes evaluation metrics, and wins proposals.
- Prepares and oversees projects' time schedules
- Participates and oversees contract negotiations, change orders, and other agreements with EPC subcontractors and vendors, and oversees all subcontractors’ work in all phases
- Liaises with Engineering Department to provide the preferred suppliers
- Assists the Country Manager in compiling the local (onshore) budget
- Develops and maintains project timeline, identifies critical path, and key milestones for project’s success
- Communicates with utilities and authorities having jurisdictions regarding interconnection, permitting, and other regulatory compliance issues
- Approves all project weekly payments and follows up on budget on a weekly basis, in cooperation and coordination with the financial department
- Identify the sources of likely problems and proactively take preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact
- Maintain strong project documentation throughout and possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Prepares subcontractor contracts in cooperation with legal and technical development
- Evaluates the performance of the Construction Manager, Project Engineer, EPC, and/or Subcontractors
- Ensures completeness of projects' As-built folder and hand over to Asset Management
- Prepares subcontractor contracts in cooperation with legal and technical development
- Overviews main contract obligations, project execution (Schedule & Budget)
- Manages Insurance placement and claims throughout the construction of projects
- Ensures that H&S requirements are followed throughout all project phases
- Prepares the weekly reports to the HQ
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in Project Management / Facilities Management
- Preferably experience in Solar Power Plant construction (ideally in 2 or more utility-scale >5MW PV projects)
- Strong leadership and communication skills, self-motivated with the demonstrated problem-solving capability
- Self-starter with excellent presentation skills with constant attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-disciplined and result oriented
- Excellent use of the English Language is mandatory
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and MS Project
- Advanced use of AutoCAD software
- Sufficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code, solar permitting, and other PV system regulatory codes.
- Certification in Project Management, e.g., MBA/PMP/PRINCE II
