- Network Monitoring: Proactively monitor technologies in both Mobile and Fixed networks, addressing alarms and faults promptly, and maintaining a comprehensive operational view.
- Incident and Problem Management: Manage incident and problem reports, issue trouble tickets, and follow up on resolution.
- Escalation Management: Proactively escalate issues based on a thorough impact analysis to ensure timely resolution.
- Trouble Ticket Management: Track trouble ticket status, follow up until resolution, monitor SLA fulfillment, and escalate as necessary.
- Operational Procedures: Adhere to operational instructions for troubleshooting and network changes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of incidents and problems, generating relevant reports as needed.
- Collaboration with Technical Teams: Liaise effectively with internal and external teams for efficient problem-solving.
- Shift Work: Work on a 24/7 rolling shift schedule.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of telecommunications networks, with proficiency in network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work environments.
- Teamwork: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively within a 24/7 team environment.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in telecommunications or a related field, ideally in a NOC Engineer role is preferred but not required.
- Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Engineering.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with some of the following network technologies and related NMS platforms will be considered as a plus:
- Transport Network Technologies (e.g., IP & MPLS, SDH, DWDM/FO)
- Radio Network Technologies (e.g., GSM, LTE, NR)
- Fixed Access Technologies (e.g., NGA, FTTx, DSLAM)
- Power & Infrastructure technologies for Telco solutions (e.g., DC/PSU, AC units).
