With more than 50 years of experience, we specialize in assessing and recruiting Senior to Middle Level Executives across all sectors.ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of its client, a prominent manufacturing company based near Thessaloniki with over 30 years of presence and a strong export orientation, renowned for its commitment to innovation, quality and sustainability, is looking for an experienced and driven Executive to fill the following position:Chief Accountant (Ref.5784/CA/ESS/GR)The Chief Accountant will report to and work closely with the CFO and will be responsible for monitoring the functions of the Accounting Department.Main Tasks:

Organize and supervise the smooth and efficient operation of the accounting department.
Perform monthly reconciliations of ERP peripheral systems across all cycles (purchases, sales, cost accounting, fixed assets, payroll, VAT subsystem, INTRASTAT, etc.) and ensure the correct submission of "myDATA."
Prepare and timely submit all tax obligations of the company and ensure prompt payment, when required.
Supervise the completion of accounting records for the extraction of monthly and annual results, create financial statements and ensure their submission.
Oversee the execution of all accounting tasks to ensure compliance with relevant legislative provisions and ensure the ongoing training and guidance of subordinates.
Supervise and evaluate the performance of the accounting team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Assure the continuous improvement and modernization of the accounting system.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Economics.
Master's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Auditing, or related disciplines will be a plus.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience - previous experience in similar industries is considered as a strong asset.
Holding A' class Accountant professional license is necessary.
Knowledge of tax and commercial legislation.
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
Good command of English.
