Learn more: jti.com Location : Xanthi, Greece Reporting to: EHS Manager What this position is about: The EHS specialist is responsible for the development, continuous improvement and maintenance of all processes, programs and procedures that contribute to occupational safety and the environment to comply with the national laws and JTI EHS requirements. Moreover, is responsible to analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of EHS-related problems and develop recommendations for improvement. Who are we looking for - Requirements: Bachelor's degree in in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a similar field Professional license of Safety Technician will be considered as an asset. Minimum of 2 years’ work experience as Safety Engineer / Engineering Compliance Officer Experience with Labor Authorities or Accident Investigation will be considered as an asset Fluency in both Greek and English Languages Good knowledge of MS Office. What will you do - Responsibilities: Apply Legal and JTI health and safety requirements associated with the work hazards. Identify the hazards, assess the risks, and ensure that control measures are implemented to maintain a healthy and safe workplace for employees under the position incumbent’s supervision. Ensure that employees receive appropriate health & safety training, and they adopt the required qualifications to perform their duties safely. Support the development, continuous improvement, and maintenance of EHS Management Systems for Environment and Occupational Health & Safety with aim to achieve Zero Incidents. Support all risk assessments (work related, workplace related, tools and equipment related, chemical goods, etc.) in close collaboration with all business functions and provide information and guidance to eliminate risks and Incidents with clear procedures and processes. Report incidents and near misses and supports with the investigation process. Support the continuous improvement of the Waste Management in the Factory Key Competencies: Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills Good knowledge of data analysis and compliance management Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
