As a Solution Architect, you will be part of our Applied Intelligence team in Athens and you'll play a crucial part in technical aspects of the proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from the Public Sector or more generally following customer and market opportunities. You will be engaged in pre-sales activities for products and solutions in the IT sector and will orchestrate the creation of technical solutions and proposals, ensuring compliance with customer or business development requirements.A Day in the Life of a Solution Architect at Qualco will include:

Receiving and analyzing business requirements and transforming them to viable technical solutions, mainly by leveraging Microsoft’s Azure infrastructure along with RESTful API integrations.
Ensuring the overall quality and fit of the technical solution in addition to the overall performance of the platform ecosystem.
Participating in workshops with product owners and business analysts and be able to detect component dependencies, integrations and potential risks.
Preparing and authoring of technical aspects of bids/proposals and response to RFIs/RFPs.
Driving platform evolution initiatives in the context of introducing new technologies, handling technical debt, and improving application’s performance and resilience.
Authoring technical documentation and architectural diagrams. Ensuring that all stakeholders clearly understand the proposed solution.
Staying up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in order to develop innovative and effective solutions.
Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

RequirementsWhat we are looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
3+ years of experience as Lead Software Engineer or Solution Architect.
Experience with the design and development of Cloud based solutions (primarily on Azure).
Strong understanding of HTTP, JSON, and RESTful API principles.
Strong knowledge of design principles for creating scalable applications.
Strong understanding of AI concepts, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
Experience with message queues, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience with distributed caching systems, such as Redis or Memcached.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes respectively.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent command of English Language (written & verbal).

What is considered a plus

Cloud certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
Experience working with big data platforms and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
Experience in programming languages commonly used in AI development (e.g., Python, R).
