We are currently looking for dynamic Cobol Developer on behalf of one of the biggest IT companies in Greece. As a Cobol Developer, you should translate system requirements into the design and development. You should also manage the life cycle of projects by assessing how well the delivered solutions fulfill the requirements and meet the business need.This Cobol Developer position is full time and permanent based in athens's nothern suburbs, working in a hybrid model!The company offers the following benefits for this Cobol Developer position:

As Cobol Developer, you will be part of a highly skilled team who design, develop, deploy, and support complex Information Systems and you will have the opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of technologies. More specifically your duties will be:

End-to-end design and development
Liaise directly with the Organizations Front & Middle Office and various functions to gather the requirements
Understanding and participation actively to issue solving (Incidents, Service Requestsetc)
Participation to several testing phases
Coordination with other teams in Technology
Getting involved in full software development life cycle and delivery process and source control management (Jira, Git, etc.)

AS a Cobol Developer you will need to have:

Familiarity and confidence working in a proper development environment: CI/CD
At least 3 years of relevant experience in Design, Development & Sizingprojects. Experience in Insurance industry will be considered as a plus.
Good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a global teamenvironment.
The ability to quickly grasp and understand existing software.
Good software design principles and the ability to write robust code along with accompanying test suites.
Functional programming experience is a plus.

Cooperating well and coordinating effectively across levels
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting
