We are currently looking for a meticulous and experienced Payroll Accountant Manager to join our Finance team at Amanzoe in Porto Heli, Greece. Reporting to the Director of Finance / Financial Controller, and with a dotted-line to the Director of Human Resources, this role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, payroll-related accounting, and compliance with Greek labor regulations. It plays a vital role in bridging the finance and HR functions to guarantee smooth payroll operations and reporting.Responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll cycle using the Pylon payroll system for all Amanzoe employees.
- Coordinate with departments to collect and verify time and attendance data from the Timer system.
- Validate shift schedules and ensure timely and accurate payroll submissions.
- Process all payroll components, including salaries, overtime, deductions, and benefits.
- Submit required payroll declarations to relevant Greek authorities on time.
- Maintain organized payroll records and ensure data accuracy across all systems.
- Monitor and reconcile discrepancies in attendance and payroll data.
- Collaborate on the preparation and monitoring of the annual payroll budget.
- Prepare monthly payroll forecasts, track variances, and provide in-depth analysis.
- Record payroll entries and ensure proper allocation within the general ledger.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
- Ensure compliance with Greek labor, tax, and social insurance regulations.
- Provide support to employees on payroll-related queries and maintain confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a payroll or accounting role, ideally within the hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of the Pylon payroll system and familiarity with Timer or other time-tracking tools.
- Excellent understanding of Greek labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- High level of proficiency in Excel and financial reporting.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
