Job Description:Hill International is hiring for our Contracts Department increasing needs :Contracts Engineer (Athens)Location: Athens,Reporting: Contracts DirectorShort Description: As a Contracts Engineer, will oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to administration and review. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, legal counsel, and procurement teams, to develop comprehensive contract strategies aligned with project objectives and budget constraints. Draft, negotiate, and administer contracts, subcontracts, and change orders with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements and legal regulations.
Review contract terms and conditions to identify risks, liabilities, and opportunities for mitigation or enhancement.
Collaborate with project managers, legal counsel, and procurement teams to develop contract strategies and procurement plans aligned with project objectives and budget constraints.
Evaluate bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers to assess competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with project specifications.
Monitor contract performance and progress to ensure adherence to timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
Facilitate communications between project stakeholders to resolve disputes, address contractual issues, and manage variations or claims.
Maintain accurate contract documentation, including records of correspondence, approvals, and amendments, to support audit trails and compliance requirements.
Conduct regular contract reviews and audits to assess compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Provide guidance and support to project teams on contract-related matters, including interpretation of contract terms, dispute resolution, and risk management.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in contract management to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and optimize contract outcomes.

Qualifications:

A university degree in engineering, law, or another relative discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience in contracts engineering in the construction industry and/or infrastructure public works
Accreditation in FIDIC books or other certifications on contract management will be considered an asset.
Strong organizational skills.
Professional knowledge of the English language
The candidate should be based in or be eligible to work in Greece and be fluent in the Greek language.
