- Preparing and serving high-quality coffee drinks (Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, Americano, Freddo, Cold Brew, etc.).
- Crafting specialty beverages such as teas, hot chocolate, smoothies, and other non-alcoholic & alcoholic drinks as wine, cocktails & mocktails.
- Maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of beverages.
- Creating latte art and enhancing the visual appeal of drinks.
- Operating, maintaining, and cleaning professional coffee machines and grinders.
- Ensuring proper calibration of espresso machines for optimal coffee extraction.
- Monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients, and placing orders as needed.
- Keeping an organized and well-stocked workstation, giving weekly orders to procurement department.
- Greeting customers warmly and taking orders with accuracy.
- Providing recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Handling customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the café area.
- Keeping the barista station clean and organized at all times.
- Following hygiene and safety standards (HACCP regulations).
- Cleaning equipment and utensils after use to maintain a sanitary workspace.
- Processing orders accurately and handling transactions at the register. Having the responsibility of the telephone for room service orders.
- Managing the opening and closing of the barista station.
- Having the responsibility of the morning cashier.
- Ensuring smooth coordination with the kitchen and waitstaff for timely service.
- Working closely with colleagues to maintain efficiency and a positive work environment.
- Supporting other areas of the café or restaurant when required.
- Previous experience as a barista or in a coffee-related role is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques (espresso extraction, milk frothing, cold brew preparation, etc.).
- Familiarity with specialty coffee standards and various brewing methods (e.g., V60, Chemex, French Press, etc.).
- Understanding of latte art techniques (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of cocktails, mocktails, wine & alcoholic drinks.
