On behalf of our client, a well-established company in the Commercial Real Estate sector, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant.The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely accounting records for real estate assets and transactions. This role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, managing property-level accounting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The accountant will work closely with internal teams to ensure the integrity of financial data related to leases, operating expenses, and capital improvements.Main responsibilities
  • Handles day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensures compliance with tax obligations such as ENFIA and manages the full E9 process for new property acquisitions.
  • Monitors and manages corporate loan portfolios, including repayment schedules and financial accuracy.
  • Manages withholding tax calculations and submissions in line with statutory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Records and processes financial transactions (accounts payable and receivable) utilizing SAP and Power BI systems.
  • Facilitates daily accounting operations by executing routine financial processes and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of records.
Requirements
  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • MSc will be considered an asset
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in an accounting department, ideally in the real estate industry
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, invoicing, tax regulations, declaration documents, bank reconciliation and financial statements review
  • Previous experience with SAP systems and Power BI.
  • Excellent command of the English language; both written and oral
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office, with expertise in Excel
  • Strong organizational, time-management and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Discretion in handling sensitive employee information
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • High degree of reliability and integrity
