About Environmental MindsEnvironmental Minds is a Greek firm established in 2021, specialising in environmental sustainability within the aviation industry. With a focus on greenhouse gas (GHG) management, the company also provides expertise in capacity building, sustainability, urban issues, and policy analysis. In 2024 the company is entering a period of expansion to prepare for the administration of Airport Carbon Accreditation, a global standard for carbon management in the airport industry.About Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA)Airport Carbon Accreditation is the only global standard for carbon management in the airport industry. Its aim is to enable airports to implement best practices in carbon management. This programme has been developed by Airports Council International Europe in line with applicable international standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO). Airports can become accredited at five progressively ambitious levels of accreditation. As of early 2024, there are more than 550 accredited airports.About the roleThe Environmental Quality Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the ACA administration services. This position, which reports to the Programme Director, is responsible for the company’s overall quality management as well as for advising regarding ACA’s future development. It requires strong leadership skills, focus on detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and monitoring international climate developments. Monitors developments in global frameworks for GHG emissions (e.g., GHG Protocol, SBTi, ISO) as well as decisions of the ACA Task Force and other relevant bodies.

Advises relevant ACA stakeholders regarding the latest global developments and proposes programme development pathways.

Develops/updates ACA documentation (e.g., Application Manual, Guidance documents, SOPs, training manuals) in accordance with the above bullets.

· Establishes Quality Management System in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard, oversees initial certification process and maintains compliance.· Undertakes internal audits, with special focus on airport ACA applications. Records/communicates findings.· Establishes and maintains the document control system.· Prepares the contents of the ACA Annual Report.· Designs and delivers training (e.g., employee ACA induction/refresher training, verifier training).· Collaborates with the management team to set quality benchmarks and monitors performance.· Monitors operations related to quality and recommends ideas to improve performance/quality.· Liaises with all company employees and other key stakeholders (e.g., ACI Europe, ISO auditor).· Undertakes other key tasks (e.g., identification of latest carbon management approaches).Requirements· Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience in the field of environmental management, quality control/assurance, auditing, or related areas (e.g., ETS, GHG emissions).· Minimum Bachelor’s degree in environmental management, quality control/assurance, engineering, or related field.· Fluency in written and spoken English.· Strong knowledge of GHG management and quality frameworks (e.g., GHG protocol, ISO).· Proficiency in core applications of Microsoft Office.· Strong communication/reporting skills and team player.· Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work· Strong leadership and management skills.· Internal auditor and other certificates a plus.· Knowledge of ESG, carbon offset reduction/removal frameworks a plus.· Knowledge of an additional foreign language a plus.· Knowledge of aviation sector a plus.
