- Management of assigned accounts with existing and potential clients (target clients).
- Approach potential clients, identify their needs with the goal of creating a developing customer-supplier relationship, formulate commercial collaboration proposals, and coordinate timely order placement.
- Conduct a specified number of weekly contacts, either by phone or in person, as determined by the company's sales policy for its products/services.
- Manage customer sales data, develop plans to increase sales in respective accounts, and prepare and submit proposals for sales targets.
- Analyze purchasing behaviors, develop budgets and purchasing criteria for assigned clients.
- Analyze clients' credit profiles and recommend changes to their creditworthiness, shape commercial collaboration proposals and handle order collection.
- Submit reports on the outcome of contacts and/or visits to clients, and prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information on sales and market trends.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager and the Dispatch Manager to ensure the highest level of customer service for clients.
- Resolve business relationship issues with clients and monitor competitors' actions.
- Participate in national and international export conferences and represent the company at national and international trade shows.
- Maintain a permanent, accurate file of sales reports and a database with qualitative and quantitative sales and activity information for achieving sales goals in assigned clients/countries.
- BSc in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or Natural Sciences
- MSc in Business Administration (MBA) will be considered a plus
- At least 3 years of work experience in the field of International Sales for Food and Beverage companies
- Proven experience in participating in international exhibitions (SIAL, FANCY FOOD, ANUGA, etc.)
- Sufficient knowledge of food distribution channels, in global markets will be considered a strong asset
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in penetrating and developing new markets/channels internationally, in Food Service or Retail
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent command of the English language, both in written and oral communication
- Desirable knowledge of a second EU language (French or German)
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management skills
- Achievement of satisfactory results and effective customer service
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
