Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for a Senior Accountant role based in the Athens office on a full time basis.We will count on you to:

Manage accounting operations, including preparing financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local tax regulations (VAT, WHT, Income Tax)
Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances and maintain fixed assets schedules
Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all financial activities

What you need to have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in accounting
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and experience with general ledger functions
In-depth understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and local tax regulations
Experience with Mydata and reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger accounts

What makes you stand out:

Experience in insurance practice accounting or at a Big 4 firm is a plus
Positive attitude with strong influencing skills
Strong organizational, project management, and multi-tasking abilities
