Take a look at some of our impactful projects here: https://netcompany.com/cases/Job DescriptionAre you ready to discover the role of a Junior Systems Engineer in Netcompany?We are looking for inspired talents that will be part of an agile, highly skilled Systems Management and DevOps Services team that designs, implements, operates and supports enterprise technology stacks both on-premises and on Public Cloud.As a Junior Systems Engineer you will:
- Work within a team that designs and implements quality infrastructure solutions to meet every customer's needs, from simple to high end enterprise system implementations
- Assist with Installation, Performance monitoring, Tuning and Patching of OS, Application Servers and DevOps services
- Assist the team to ensure the stability of systems
- Apply security best practices and monitor security level of systems and services
- Participate in the identification and resolution of technical problems
- Work on ways to automate and improve infrastructure and DevOps tasks and processes
- Collaborate with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes
- Create and maintain documentation for installations, changes, upgrades and administration of systems and services
- Learn and evolve new skills in various categories such as:
- Programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, Groovy
- Server Administration: Linux, Unix, Solaris, Windows, Virtualization
- Web Server: Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, IIS
- Application Server: Oracle WebLogic / Fusion Middleware, JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Oracle Management Cloud, Amazon CloudWatch, Azure Monitor
- Logging: ELK
- Configuration Management: Ansible
- Containers: Docker
- Kubernetes: Upstream Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, OKE, Openshift
- Infrastructure Provisioning: Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, AWS CloudFormation
- Cloud: Oracle, Azure, AWS
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other relevant disciplines
- Familiarity with at least one of the following:
- Windows/Linux operating systems
- DevOps tools (e.g. Jenkins, SonarQube) and practices
- Containers (e.g. Docker)
- Web or Application servers (e.g. Apache HTTP, Tomcat)
- Excellent command of the English language (written & oral)
- Team-working and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
