- Develop, model and analyze the energy storage systems of the future focusing on performance, safety and sustainability using modern methodologies.
- Create and optimize simulation technologies to model and understand electrochemical mechanisms in battery systems accurately and efficiently.
- Combine and advance modern data-analytics methods to support the physical understanding and modelling of aging phenomena in batteries.
- Analyze closely related E-Mobility applications with a focus on thermo-management.
- Generate, maintain, and improve internal simulation tools with respect to accuracy and performance.
- Coordinate our interdisciplinary projects in close cooperation with our customers
- Creatively catalyze innovative ideas and work with your colleagues from interdisciplinary teams on technological visions, also in the framework of national and international research projects.
- Master’s degree with top grades in Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Technology or similar discipline, preferably with a PhD.
- Expertise in electrical energy storage systems and thermodynamics.
- Know-how in modeling electrochemical phenomena.
- Experience in the dimensioning and design of battery applications, from the cell level to the pack system.
- Experience in coding, mathematical modelling, numerical simulation (preferably CFD or FEM).
- Strong presentation and communication skills combined with excellent technical understanding and a confident demeanor.
- Excellent command of the English language and technical terminology.
- Enjoy interaction and direct communication, with a strong customer focus, assertiveness, and a sense of responsibility.
- Highly self-motivated and a team player -ideally with first experience working in young, dynamic teams.
- Innovative mindset, initiative, strong analytical and entrepreneurial thinking—and a good sense of humor.
- Good command of the German language.
