- Manage a team of localization associates and translators, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure efficient and timely project execution.
- Execute localization strategies to deliver products globally in multiple languages, meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
- Manage projects and stakeholders that often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your role to keep all the players coordinated on project progress and deadlines.
- Establish a holistic view of localization needs and build partnerships across cross-functional stakeholders in corporate and regional marketing, product, and sales.
- Support the Localization Engineer in the optimization of processes to meet our needs across a wide range of projects including publishing, training, eLearning, marketing assets, support content, and web.
- Determine resource requirements and optimal cost structures based on project objectives and operational needs.
- Manage external vendors for maximum quality, speed, and cost efficiency, ensuring optimal execution and KPI attainment.
- Use and apply principles, and methods to effectively manage/coordinate the projects under your responsibility from initiation through to delivery.
- 5+ years’ experience in Localization Program Management with geographically dispersed teams.
- 5+ years of experience working in the localization field, or closely partner with and participate in localization and internationalization related work/activities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing a team.
- In-depth knowledge of localization tools, software, and best practices, including XTM, or similar platforms, with a strong interest in developing technologies (e.g., NMT, AI-powered localization).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of best practice frameworks and methods (PRINCE2, Scrum, ITIL, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English is required (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be also a plus)
- Self-starter, problem-solver, able to think outside the box and translate localization lingo to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and able to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
