Location: Any SN Location (office/center) across GreeceStarting Date: ASAPStatus: Fixed term/Full TimeChild Safeguarding Policy: Level 3 - The job holder will have regular contact with children.Reports To: Senior Schools Liaison OfficerJob OverviewThe School Liaison Officer plays a crucial role in SolidarityNow project on menstrual health, which targets children aged 9-12, 12-15, parents/guardians, and teachers across Greece (Attica, Central Macedonia, Central Greece, Peloponnese, West Greece, North Aegean Region, East Macedonia & Thrace). The project's goals are to promote menstrual health and hygiene awareness and literacy by educating children, adolescents, parents/guardians, and teachers, and by distributing menstrual products to girls. This role focuses on fostering effective collaboration with schools, local education authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure the project's successful implementation. The Senior School Liaison Officer will conduct school mapping, establish outreach programs, and serve as the key communication link between the project team and educational institutions. The position involves working closely with school administrators, and other stakeholders to identify target schools, introduce the project's goals and methodologies, and ensure smooth scheduling and implementation of activities. The Officer will also coordinate logistics for seminars and support the back-office team in making travel arrangements, ensuring timely and effective implementation of the project's activities.Responsibilities
- Map, select, and coordinate school visits based on the program's equity-based selection criteria, prioritizing underserved areas, and schedule these visits in collaboration with facilitator teams to ensure smooth logistics, including travel arrangements and distribution of teaching materials.
- Serve as the primary contact point for schools, fostering an understanding of the project's goals, addressing concerns, and securing active participation from stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate the project's objectives and methodologies to all stakeholders, including school staff, parents’ associations, and education authorities.
- Support the delivery of seminars by collaborating with facilitators, assisting with the distribution of educational materials and period products, as appropriate, and ensuring high participation.
- Monitor and evaluate engagement and feedback from schools, providing insights to the project team and especially to Monitoring & Evaluation staff to inform ongoing improvements and implementation adjustments.
- Maintain strong organizational oversight to ensure timely execution of project activities and resolve any issues that may arise during implementation.
- Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, UNICEF, and other institutional partners to align project efforts and secure broader support for the initiative.
- University degree (preferably Master's) from an accredited academic institution, preferably in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in roles involving school outreach, stakeholder engagement, or program coordination in educational or social initiatives.
- Proven experience working with governmental and local education authorities.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster relationships with diverse groups, including school staff, regional authorities, and parents.
- Proficiency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with menstrual health and hygiene topics is an advantage.
- High level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word business software.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Greece.
