Due to rapid expansion, we are now looking for Senior Strategy Consultants to join our team in Athens. The opportunity The EY-Parthenon team within Strategy and Transactions team of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Asia (CESA) is experiencing strong growth, resulting in opportunities for talented and ambitious individuals looking to develop a career as Senior Strategy Consultants. Working in a multi-national environment, the team works on a range of projects, from local to cross-border multinational disposals or acquisitions. Working in this creative environment, you will be given the opportunity to work and take responsibility on challenging projects, gaining exposure to various sectors, including Energy, Utilities & Resources, Government, Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Financial Services, Insurance, FMCG, Retail, Advanced manufacturing, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Private Equity. We create and maximize value for our clients, whether they are acquiring or divesting assets or optimizing their portfolios. We work on the most complex and high-profile global transactions across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced professionals with a background in Strategy, Transactions, Operations, and IT who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As part of our team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions, and people. Your key responsibilities As a Senior Strategy Consultant in our team, you will: support business development through developing intellectual property, proposal documents, and attending sales meetings advise clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing transformative corporate and growth strategies, developing and executing strategies for transactions participate in managing complex, multi-layered, cross-functional project portfolios, often managed through established Project Management Offices or Specialized Units, helping government and corporate clients execute their strategic goals in the energy sector use your intellectual guile and enthusiasm to apply your technical skills across the M&A transaction lifecycle, including pre-deal diligence, portfolio review, and corporate carve-outs & integrations assist in aspects of business origination, including pitches and presentations attend meetings with clients to help sell work work in a transaction environment operating under tight M&A timeframes and demands work and lead assignments in a large-scale consulting environment or industry role Skills & Attributes for Success Project management – be part of blended project teams comprising colleagues from our transactions and consulting practices Business and Commercially Driven – working in a fast-paced, exciting environment with strong business acumen to really help add value to our clients Business development – assist in aspects of business origination, including pitches and presentations, and attending meetings with clients to help sell work. Contribute to our practice development initiatives, supporting the continued focus on our team as a great place to work Learning – Learn and develop technical and personal skills to support the achievement of career goals through a blend of structured learning, coaching, and experiences Building Relationships – Strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice, and support to key decision-makers What we look for Required Excellent academic background from a top-tier university, including a bachelor’s degree with a strong preference in the fields of Engineering as well as Economics, Finance, and Business Administration 6-8 years of relevant consulting experience with a strategy consulting-centered role At least 5 years of experience in developing financial, feasibility, and/or economic plans or performing investment appraisals for projects in the energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors Experience in some or most of the below areas: Strategic project management in large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders Technical due diligence in energy projects (e.g., clean energies and electrification, low/net carbon fuels and energy (renewables), energy efficiency, waste, and emissions management) Corporate and BU strategy Business model reinvention Portfolio strategy New market entry opportunities, Digital transformation strategy Go-to-market strategy Commercial / vendor due diligence Integration strategy planning and execution Divestiture strategy planning and execution Value realization Energy trading Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) Experience in the above areas in the Energy sector and in at least 1 of the following sectors: Infrastructure, Utilities & Resources Construction, Facility Management, Engineering Waste management Government FMCG and Retail Industrial manufacturing Logistics/Networks /Fleet Management Information Communication Technology (ICT) Infrastructure funds / Private Equity Strong project management, and multi-tasking skills, including a strong personal drive and work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Greek and English Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages, in particular, MS PowerPoint, and experience in producing and reviewing high-caliber reports, papers, and presentations Strong team participation, interpersonal and time management skills, as well as ability and flexibility to work alongside team members to ensure the timely completion of work deliverables, coupled with the ability to coach and mentor others Solid negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally Professionalism and consistency in approach to client work, internal business, and practice development Desirable A master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or similar Experience in a Big4 professional services or a Strategy firm A track record of successful project delivery in corporate businesses where you are responsible for managing vendors Ability to link operational analysis to financial statement and understand the implications of findings to client strategy What we offer We offer a competitive remuneration package where you’ll be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
