
Sitecore Team Leader (Relocation Opportunity to Athens, Greece)

- Define and oversee the Sitecore architecture across all digital platforms, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Sitecore Helix principles and modern development standards.
- Lead project planning and delivery for Sitecore initiatives-manage timelines, sprints, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful, on-time implementations.
- Act as the technical-business bridge, translating strategic objectives and customer experience goals into robust Sitecore solutions that deliver real business value.
- Drive the migration of legacy systems into the Sitecore platform-developing roadmaps for re-platforming or rebuilding with a focus on performance, usability, and long-term maintainability.
- Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring Sitecore updates, community best practices, and emerging digital experience trends-bringing fresh ideas into the development lifecycle.
- Lead agile development practices, facilitating Scrum or Kanban ceremonies and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to remove blockers and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Build and mentor a high-performing Sitecore team, creating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement through coaching and professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A strong foundational knowledge of software engineering principles is expected.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software or web development, including 2+ years proven experience in a technical leadership role.
- Expertise in Sitecore XP, including components, templates, layouts, and marketing features; Sitecore certification preferred.
- Strong .NET and C# background, with hands-on experience in ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Solid understanding of Sitecore Helix and modern development best practices to build modular, maintainable solutions.
- Ability to design scalable architectures and guide the team through implementation.
- Experienced in Scrum or Kanban, sprint planning, backlog management, and adapting to change.
- Ability to align technical solutions with business goals and communicate effectively with both tech and non-tech stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of English (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus) Extra languages desired.
- Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
