- Translate business / service requirements into resilient architectures (on‑prem, Azure, hybrid, M365).
- Produce and maintain HLD/LLD, CMDB records, capacity & availability plans.
- Deploy and operate virtualisation (VMware, Hyper‑V) and container platforms (AKS / Kubernetes).
- Implement IaC & CI/CD (Terraform, Ansible/DevOps).
- Automate patching, configuration, and compliance baselines.
- Own Tier‑2 and 3 support for incidents, problems, and changes in accordance with ITIL SLAs & OLAs.
- Analyse monitoring/telemetry to drive proactive improvements and RCA.
- Contribute to service reviews, CSI register, and KPI reporting.
- Enforce zero‑trust & least‑privilege principles
- Design backup, disaster‑recovery and BCP solutions achieving RPO/RTO targets.
- Ensure infrastructure controls meet ISO 20000, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, PCI DSS, and local regulations.
- Act as SME for projects, advising cross‑functional teams and third‑party partners.
- Evaluate new technologies, TCO/ROI, and license models; provide technical input to sourcing & budgeting.
- Maintain accurate knowledge articles, runbooks, and diagrams in IT Service Management tools.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years engineering mission‑critical infrastructure at enterprise scale.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS)
- Proven expertise with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper‑V plus Windows & Linux server administration.
- Production experience running Kubernetes/AKS and container registries.
- Strong scripting/automation and infrastructure‑as‑code
- Solid grasp of networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, load‑balancers) and storage technologies
- Demonstrated application of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Config, Capacity, Continuity).
- Experience implementing security controls (CIS Benchmarks).
- Participation in 24×7 on‑call rotations (for critical incidents).
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect (AZ‑305), ITIL v4, ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation/Practitioner would be a plus
- Experience with database platforms (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) would be advantageous
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and microservices architectures is beneficial
- Background in payment or financial‑services regulated environments is preferred
