Location: Athens (base), with regular travel to Thessaloniki & IoanninaStarting Date: 15/9/2025Status: Fixed term/Full-Time ContractChild Safeguarding Policy: Level 3 - The job holder will have regular contact with children.Job OverviewAbout the ProjectUNICEF, together with the Ministry of Health, has launched the National Programme for the Promotion of Family and Child Health in Greece. A key component is the piloting of the Triple P - Positive Parenting Program, an evidence-based intervention that equips parents with skills, confidence, and knowledge to support their children's development and wellbeing.The program is implemented by SolidarityNow in the regions of Attica, Central Macedonia, and Epirus and includes perinatal parenting support and support for parents of children aged 1-16 years. Activities include parenting seminars, group sessions, individual counselling, psychosocial support, and community outreach.Position SummaryThe Project Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, supervision, and quality assurance of the project across all implementation sites. This includes managing and supporting Parenting Practitioners, working closely with the MEAL and Communications & Outreach Officers, and liaising with UNICEF, the Ministry of Health, local authorities, and partner organizations.The role is central to ensuring effective delivery, visibility, accountability, and impact of the program. The position is based in Athens with frequent field travel to Thessaloniki and Ioannina.Main Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership, supervision and mentoring for Parenting Practitioners across all project locations.
- Ensure adherence to project objectives, ToRs, Triple P standards, and UNICEF guidelines.
- Lead project planning, timeline development, and quality assurance.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement (UNICEF, Ministry of Health, municipalities, CSOs).
- Oversee outreach and awareness activities in alignment with UNICEF's Communication Department.
- Oversee the collection of quantitative and qualitative data in coordination with the MEAL Officer.
- Ensure timely progress monitoring, consolidated reporting, and documentation of lessons learned.
- Conduct field visits to Thessaloniki and Ioannina to ensure quality delivery, provide staff support, and liaise with local stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and promote child protection standards across all project activities.
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, public health, social sciences, management, or other related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing complex, multi-site projects, preferably within UN agencies, INGOs, or large-scale social/health programs.
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership competencies.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders (government, NGOs, international organizations).
- Fluent in Greek and English; strong communication and organizational skills.
