- Actively contributes to shaping the organizational strategy, with a focus on cultivating a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Develops and implements holistic HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization’s overarching goals and values.
- Ensures compliance with labor, legal, contractual, and regulatory processes related to HR management, while identifying opportunities to optimize policies and procedures.
- Promotes and supports a healthy working environment through feedback systems, mentoring, and employee empowerment.
- Supervises the HR department staff and sets departmental targets.
- Coordinates and participates in the full recruitment cycle (job postings, CV collection and screening, etc).
- Conducts interviews and oversees hiring in collaboration with the Child Protection Unit and organizational leadership. Responsible for the preparation, renewal, amendment, and potential termination of employment contracts.
- Oversees the maintenance of leave records, shift schedules, timesheets, employee work schedules, and the ERGANI platform.
- Ensures timely payroll processing and verifies the accuracy of final payroll reports.
- Designs, oversees, and manages the performance evaluation and appraisal system. Develops evaluation tools and is responsible for conducting annual appraisals and recording their outcomes.
- Implements staff development strategies and collaborates closely with the Child Protection Unit in designing training and capacity-building programs.
- Intervenes in critical labor relations issues, promoting conflict resolution and fostering a culture of trust.
- Serves as the point of contact with the organization’s Health & Safety Officer and Occupational Doctor.
- Communicates with public authorities when necessary (e.g., EFKA, SEPE, OAED, etc.).
- Carries out additional duties as assigned.
- Upholds the principles of confidentiality and discretion.
- Adheres to the organization’s code of ethics.
- Participates in staff meetings, supervisions, and training sessions.
- Reports to the organization’s Chief Operations Officer (COO).
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, etc.).
- Specialization or postgraduate studies in Human Resources Management.
- Proven work experience of at least 5 years in a Head of HR role.
- Excellent command of Greek and English (C2 level), both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in HRM systems and databases.
- Strategic thinking and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of Greek labor legislation.
- Knowledge of a second foreign language.
- Previous experience in the NGO sector and/or child protection field.
- Familiarity with the SoftOne HRM system.
