Our new center of excellence in Greece is positioned to drive our ongoing business and to support our digital business transformation, as well as the company's operations in the European region which encompasses 27 countries:Chubb is looking for a Senior Business Analyst that will work within the Underwriting Applications portfolio of the Global Application Development department. The Underwriting Applications portfolio manages a suite of applications that complement the underwriting process, predominantly within the EMEA region of the Chubb Overseas Group (COG). The applications provide functionality for renewal modeling, management of business rules and for the maintenance of guidance to support underwriter decision making. The Portfolio is responsible for the delivery of change on these applications and for extending their availability beyond EMEA into the APAC and LATAM regions of COG.OverviewWe are seeking for an individual with strong analytical capabilities, a keen eye for detail and experience translating requirements into practical deliverable solutions. They will gain subject matter expertise in the portfolio's applications and must be able to communicate effectively with both IT and the Business population. Proactive engagement with business customers is a key attribute of the role, as is proactive engagement with delivery partners. Strong influencing and negotiation skills will be necessary to manage conflicting views and the prioritization of requirements into release plans.Responsibilities

Understand the business domain, and the existing business process models, and use this knowledge to help convert our stakeholders' business change requirements into effective IT solutions that are aligned with their business objectives

Capture detailed requirements from business users and stakeholders

Document these requirements into user stories, display mock-ups and wireframes for review & approval by business customers.

Updating and enhancing existing application documentation

Work closely with Business Architecture to ensure adherence to the COG operating model and IT Architecture to ensure adherence to the technology roadmap

Collaborate with BAs on other work streams to ensure holistic and complete solutions

Ensure that change management processes are adhered to

Support Testing processes (both IT & business testing)

Work with users to establish best practice principles

Provide 1st level triage for testing defects, and assist the project team with their resolution

Escalate issues to Project Manager, offering options of how to address where appropriate

Qualifications:Qualifications

University Degree

Formal IT training in business analysis (ie. UML)

6+ years working as a BA preferably within P&C Insurance, ideally with a company having a similar product offering to Chubb)

Experience working in a systems role in an Insurance environment

a self-starter, who will actively take the lead with the business rather than be led

capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Working knowledge and application of analysis techniques to include process modelling/mapping, interviewing techniques, gap analysis, traceability matrices, business scenarios, and data analysis

Ability to complete User Stories, Business Specifications, Use Cases, Functional Specifications, Workflow Diagrams, Gap Analysis, Business Case, and ROI Analysis documents, as required.

Ability to use initiative to overcome opposing views, stalemates and effectively meet desired outcome in challenging circumstances

Detailed knowledge of the system development lifecycle & the appropriate BA methods & techniques required

Be a strong communicator able to work with a variety of business and IT personnel, and able to facilitate workshops and user training sessions

Have demonstrable practical experience of working with remote teams in a multi-site environment with previous exposure to remote programming teams
